This is more of a sidenote than a post, but I thought it worth recording. Back in May, Marita von Weissenberg reviewed my book for The Medieval Review. I tweeted about it back then, but it took a little while for it to get uploaded online. Anyway, I happened to think to look for it today, and there it is. It’s an extremely thorough review, so if you wanted to see whether Fatherhood and its Representations in Middle English Texts is the book for you, it’s worth a look! I’m very grateful to Dr von Weissenberg for giving such a thoughtful close reading of my book – and obviously relieved that the review is positive, because of course being reviewed in a journal many of my friends and colleagues read is a nerve-wracking thing!
